Rambhai Barni Rajabhat University took part in a panel discussion with an international network of experts from the City University of New York, Oxford, and the University of California on the topic "Human-Elephant Relationships in Southeast Asia: The Implications of Historical and Scientific Knowledge for Coexistence and Conservation." The university played an important role in cross-sector dialogue to support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a focus on building partnerships to share knowledge and develop joint strategies. In addition, the university organized forums and shared research results on solving wild elephant problems by supporting work under the Phatchara Sutha Khachanurak Project. It also held hearings with partner organizations and the legislature and joined meetings with a parliamentary subcommittee to suggest sustainable solutions to wild elephant problems. This work involved many sectors, including local people, wild elephant watch volunteer groups (civil society/NGOs), and government agencies. This comprehensive work at both national and international levels is supported by a grant from the Digital for Economic and Social Development Fund for the year 2025, underscoring the university's commitment to using knowledge and innovation to create sustainable pathways for human-elephant coexistence.
