Rambhai Barni Rajabhat University is committed to a policy of providing education on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to the wider community. The university aims to transfer essential knowledge and skills for sustainable career development and quality of life improvement to alumni, local residents, and displaced persons through a variety of projects and activities.
For Alumni: The university provides knowledge and skill development through its University Business Incubator (UBI-RBRU) to promote entrepreneurship and the creation of decent work. A notable example is Mr. Phubet Sinsawat, an alumnus of the Gems and Jewelry program. He made history for the Chanthaburi gem industry by winning the first prize in the Hard Gemstone category at the world-class GIT’s World Challenge Gems Faceting Master 2025. His success, fostered by the UBI-RBRU, showcases the incubator's ability to polish a new generation of entrepreneurs for the global stage and reaffirms the university's role in developing graduates who are competitive in the international gems and jewelry industry.
For Local Communities, Ethnic Groups, and Displaced Persons: The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences organized a project on processing three-flavored mussels in the border area of Klong Yai District, Trat Province. This area is home to a diverse population, including displaced persons (Thai people of Koh Kong origin), an ethnic group with cultural and kinship ties to both Thailand and Cambodia. The project provided an opportunity for locals to learn value-adding processing techniques, offering a solution to the problem of market oversupply. Consequently, the community has been able to sell their products at a higher price, thereby generating stable income.
